Ram to the power of 1000

Ahh finally, after a full one day of waiting, I received a special delivery containing the secrets of the universe. Well maybe not quite, but what I did get is the sheer power of 1gigabyte of ram.

A whole 1024 of your mega-bytes? Yes! But why? I can only conclude that 1 GB is the ideal amount of ram for a modern computer, preferably in 2x 512 ddr configuration. 512 has the be the minimum personally, so 1 GB means that anything is within your reach. Really, anything.

Anyhow, these two 512 so-dimm modules were destined for my new uni bound notebook, which previously included two 256 modules, leaving me to disguard a whole 512 of ram! If anyone’s interested in these modules at a low cost, contact me before they get put up on eBay.

Installation was pretty simple, but slightly different from a desktop machine. You slide the chips in at a 45 degree angle, and then push them down flat. An amazing space-saving idea!

Now I can tab in-and-out of games smoothly, and tame that ultimate power-munching Battlefield 2 in an all-singing-all dancing 40 frames-per-second. Pretty neat, for a notebook.

Heres Sony's latest attempt at an mp3 walkman, simply entitled- "walkman", certainly looks like a solid peice of kit.

Integrated screen design (no screen borders), and fits in the palm of your hand. 20gb and 6gb versions. Available in black/grey, purple/blue, pink and green. Expect a dock, speakers, and other assorted gubbins.

Am I buying one? Wishful thinking.
