Ban Comic Sans, The madness must end

Logos
Thousands of new companies start-up every single day in the UK. This means in turn, thousands of logos - whether simple or complicated - are designed every single day. This also means that thousands of typefaces are used for these logos.

Fonts
Now in the civilized world, a new business may choose a nice simple Arial style font for their logo, or maybe even a classic Times New Roman, and there are many people who make this reasonable decision. However, there are hoards of people choosing the dreadful Comic Sans MS font as of recent.

Comic Sans MS
Comic Sans was first seen in 1997, in a program called "3D movie maker" for Microsoft, designed by Vincent Connare.
Comic Sans is a reasonable font, when used in the correct context. A childrens website or picture book for example. But never when the font is used for corporate logos. In the wrong situation, Comic Sans is a menace, a vulgar scratch on your eyeball that wont go away.

Campaign
Dave Combs from bancomicsans.com has started-up and led the campaign to ban the much hated font. On the site you can find information on all-goings-on in the comic sans world (and the banning of it), and you can also take part by purchasing some protest stickers, and comic sans 'action packs'.

In London
For a short amount of time in 2002 unknownbeings brought the campaign to London. Fellow Londoners, we urge you to help unknown beings, and join the quest to help Ban Comic Sans in London. You know its right.
Do the correct thing boys and girls.
